Views from the Underwater World
Water, with its shifting reflections and distortions, opens a passage into an unfamiliar realm. Crossing the mirrored surface while diving, orientation dissolves—up and down lose their meaning, light bends, colors transform, and sunlight fragments into restless patterns. I am a guest in a world not my own. This work invites a quiet shift in perspective. The viewer does not observe the underwater world, but becomes part of it—untethered from the familiar world above the surface. What remains are abstract, luminous, and constantly moving reflections. This series was exhibited at photoSCHWEIZ 2019.
